Set in the backdrop of the Second World War, Call of Duty: World at War is the latest in the series of games that have kept gamers enthralled ever since the first of the series came out. With the fifth in the series, Activision sure has proven that there is no reason why sequels cannot do well.
As the name indicates, the story is set in a turbulent world where all the countries are fighting against each other. The wars are the ones that were historically fought in the Pacific region and in the Far East. The main countries on which the game focuses on are United States of America, Soviet Union, Nazi Germany and Japan.
It is a first person shooting game and has been developed by Treyarch. Activision, in this time of specialized consol gaming, has released the game across all platforms including Play Station 3, X Box 360, Microsoft Windows (PC) and Glu Mobile has even launched a version for Windows Mobile. Now that is surely going to make the serious gamers happy.
The game was launched in November last year and the responses till now have been great. So go grab your copy now.
